This project piece was created to bring a world of what if Ai Yazawa had a featured exhibition in the MoMA.

Ai Yazawa is a famous manga artist, one of her famous works is “Nana”. The story focuses on two girls named Nana, one struggling with fame and the other with love. The two befriend each other tackle on their personal challenges together. Yazawa’s stories revolve around love, heartbreak, and stardom. She also incorporates a lot of street fashion and punk fashion which I supported throughout the visuals of the video.

“Ink and Emotion” invites people into Yazawa’s iconic artistry, where every stroke captures raw emotions and beauty. Taking a few panels from the manga, I animated the images to make viewers feel immersed in the world.
